David Wetherelt
President & Founder
David Wetherelt is the Co-Founder and President of Like Minds Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to reshaping how society understands and supports neurodivergent individuals. His leadership is rooted in lived experience, having received a late diagnosis of Autism and ADHD after years of navigating addiction, depression, and misdiagnosis. That journey now fuels his mission: to help others discover their true selves, find healing, and thrive.
At Like Minds, David combines compassion and strategy. He developed the SPENNTT coaching model (Spectrum → Nutrition → Treatment), integrates neuroscience and Internal Family Systems therapy into coaching practices, and advocates for systemic change in healthcare, housing, and education. His work spans direct peer coaching, public speaking, and thought leadership through Like Minds’ publications and media.
In addition to his role at Like Minds, David is CEO of Parallel Eyewear, a premium eyewear brand owned in part by David with much of the profits going towards Like Minds mission. Parallel Eyewear is both a business and a social mission, designed to provide sustainable funding for Like Minds and to create meaningful employment opportunities for neurodivergent individuals.
David also serves as VP of Sales and Marketing for Interstella, an AI-driven healthcare data company transforming the way Health Information Exchanges and health systems manage data. At Interstella, he leads strategy, partnerships, and storytelling, positioning the company’s Lynqsys platform and Data Refinery as groundbreaking solutions for the healthcare industry.
Beyond his professional roles, David finds balance in sailing the waters of San Diego, practicing yoga at Modo Yoga, and spending time with his two sons, Max and Matias, who are also involved in the family’s mission-driven ventures. His personal journey of resilience and rediscovery continues to inform his work, blending science, systems, and heart into a vision for a more compassionate and intelligent future.
